The idea for starting a woodwork company originated from my legal studies. I studied law for a while and that inspired me to do work for advocate lawyers. My wife worked in the legal field so I was comfortable building up a niche market in the legal world. Over the years our company has built multiple shelving units for books and files for lawyers. We also have manufactured office furniture for them as well. We have done this for their homes as well including woodwork such as kitchens, cupboards, vanities, sideboards and bars. Over the last few years a lot of our work has come from the internet.
Where we have been and where we are aiming at going to.
We have a vast array of skill sets at Bataleur Woodworks. From specialist cutters and assemblers to specialist spray painters and then allrounders, That compliments the staff who do the physical work. On the other side of our business entity is the design and management side. As owner I have a three year design diploma. In woodwork however I am self taught. We provide pencil drawings as well as computer drawings before commencing with work. I am grateful to my staff and clients who have taught me the rest of what I know about my craft.
